CITY OF CLINTON CITY HALL WILL BE CLOSED FOR CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAYS Due to the upcoming holidays, City Hall will be closed on Friday and Monday, December 22nd and 25th for the Christmas holiday. City Hall will re-open on Tuesday, December 26th at 8 am. City Hall will also be closed on December 29th and January 1st for the New Year’s holiday. CITY OF CLINTON HOLIDAY- SOLID WASTE-RECYCLING COLLECTION Due to the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, solid waste/recycling collection will be altered the last week of December, 2017 and the first week of January, 2018. Solid Waste/recycling collection will be as follows: • There will NOT be solid waste/recycling collection on Monday, December 25th or on Monday, January 1st. • Solid Waste collection will be delayed by one day the week of Christmas and the week of New Years - with the Friday routes collected on Saturday, December 30th and January 6, 2018. GOD’S LAST WORD! (PARTt #3) Dale Barnes “…the angel said to them(shepherds), Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today…a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. this shall be a sign to you: You will find the baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. (Lu.2:10-12 NIV) Suddenly a large group of angels appeared; praising God and saying, Glo-ry to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests. The baby was found just as the angel had said. God had announced that one had arrived that could save us. God had spoken! Jesus speaks in Jn.14:6; “ I am the way…No one comes to the Father (God) except through me. Later, the apostle Peter said, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 NIV) The apostle John tells us; (1 Jn.5:11 NIV) “God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son does not have life.” There is not salvation in keeping the 10 commandments, that is unless you do it perfectly. The Bible tells us that we all have sinned. There is none righteous, no not one. Because of God’s love for mankind, God sent his Son, who died in our place, so that God could freely forgive our sins. Jesus is the savior, he is the only one. There is no other way to escape the final judgement of God. That is why the angels were singing and praising God before those shepherds many years ago.
